Enpro Provides National Project Management to KinderCare Learning Centers
In early 2000, KinderCare Facilities Management determined that the students and staff in their Daycare Centers needed to be better protected from injuries caused by broken glass. The Centers posed a unique situation in that interior classrooms exposed children to glass and playground areas exposed children to exterior glass. The Enpro National Accounts Department was recruited to develop a national program for them. They wanted to use a product that would protect the occupants and was suitable for interior and exterior application to minimize product installation confusion. At the time, Madico was developing a new Scratch Resistant Coating suitable for exterior films. Enpro reviewed the program with the Madico research and development team and created a product custom made for the KinderCare program, CL-400-EXSR. This film is a scratch resistant product that was suitable for both interior and exterior applications in addition to being installer-friendly. Over the last four years, working in concert with the KinderCare Facilities Management Team and the Madico installation network partners, Enpro has successfully installed 4-mil safety film product on 700+ centers across the country. All participating partners in the program shared in the success with the children and staff at the Centers being the ultimate winners. Posted: April 23, 2004 |
